I would ask the seller why, a lot of times a seller has a legitimate reason, but they usually email you as well.

If someone pays for each item separately, they are also going to be paying a shipping fee for each item. If they want a combined invoice with combined fees they have to wait for you to send one.

If they buy an item and do not want it, why should you be out any money at all? I would refund item price only, after I receive item back unopened.
