Thread: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!

    The bed is nicely warmed up, the banana ice cream is in the freezer and I've made a note to batch-cook cottage pie tomorrow to freeze.

    It's my birthday on the 4th of January so I have a bottle of red wine in the larder. I'm hoping my new wine glasses will turn up with the groceries or I will be drinking out of a mug lol

    H A P P Y . N E W . Y E A R !

    It's dreary and wet in Wisconsin, USA
    Looks like we may have rain during the day.
    There is no snow - all the snow has melted and it's been in the 40's and 50's here.

    @Moonie : H A P P Y . B I R T H D A Y !

    I was greeted with my eBid bill. First bill of 2023.

    For your sake Sgt hope the viewing goes well, & that you will be able to find a new nest for your self.

    Well wish the weather for the new year would improve.

    A few dreary and wet days in the mid 30's F.
    No snow - all of it has melted from a couple of warmer days.

    Was notified that there was an active shooter one road over from me.
    Had to lock doors and stay in. The police did capture the guy.

    I already have clients changing their schedules for me to come out to their place.
    I hate white-out changes on my calendar.

    So good to hear from you Sarge, we are all wandering around the barracks like headless chickens - we need you back to keep us in order!
    Very pleased to hear that you have had a good knees up in the mess, you should have invited some of us squaddies! (ME, in particular!!).

    Hope the viewing of the house went OK, (or even not OK depending on your wishes!)
    All best wishes to you for the new year which I hope that will bring you some happiness that you so well deserve. x

    Hope Sgt & everyone else are over the new year celebrations, & Sgt you get what you wish for the house,

    Still seem to be the never ending relists done again.

    More dreary gray days. Some wet, some snow, and cold.

    @Cornishmaid : Wishing you the best on your next adventure in life.
    Hope the house sells quickly and you can be on your merry way and his @#@# falls off.

    @Maplegin : yes, they caught the shooter. It took police from 9 different towns to chase him down.
    I guess when the local police came, he started to shoot at them and then all he// broke loose.

    Once again, USPS is raising the shipping rates and I am going through my listings to update things and shipping.
    This is postponing my website, but this is good. I am changing pricing and some other things to eBid listings to make a bit of a difference to what I want on my website.

    New year, the cats are happy and sassy, the furnace is working and I don't have any weeds to pull in the gardens.
    . . . but I did break a new rake when I was raking some left over leaves by the road.

    I've heard breaking a rake in the New Year is an old Celtic custom that insures leisure in the coming months!! Smart move, Police!! lol

    @HerMajesty
    Not happy breaking a fairly new rake.
    I would of rather handing the rake to someone else so that they can rake my yard and I can take some leisure time.

    Right now, we did get some snow.
    I did check out some new rakes and they doubled in price.
