Thread: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!

Winds have abated but still rather strong, currently at 50mph.
Tomorrow there is a respite, but 40-50mph winds returning on Sunday.
My daughter and family are travelling from Nottingham to spend the weekend with us for a family reunion. We have planned a meal out on Sunday - table booked for 12. She is dying to meet Lucia's new baby, and give her a cuddle!
I just hope that she makes it here and back safely.

Mandart - how very odd - the case of the self-travelling caravan! Sounds like an Agatha Christie mystery!

Indeed, I've informed the Police but they didn't seem very helpful, probably because I was unable to furnish them with any details of the make, number of berths or even the number plate on the rear..

Hope you have a good party on Sunday

We got none! Wind dropped, rain eased, not even any puddles and now warmer than it has been lately. Heating still on high though.

Glad to hear everyone is safe (hope Sarge is okay and not blown down from the top of her high hill in Bath!!!)

My sister posted this a couple of hours ago from Stokes Bay in Gosport

Hope everyone’s ok after today’s dreadful storm. It was so scary wasn’t it?
We had a big branch hit the house just above the window, damaging the guttering. A couple of foot lower and it would have taken out the glass.
After a crazy day of the worst wind we’ve experienced locally, 122 miles an hour at the Needles on the Isle of Wight, the sun had the cheek to laugh in our faces at teatime!
Stay safe everyone, it’s still very windy out there. x

The only big tree in my garden got uprooted last night, luckily it was blown away from the house and rested against the trees on the other side of my fence.
    It's now waitng for disposal...

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain.
