My last two machines have been Janome (formerly New Home) and both have been great!

Afternoon everyone.

Whilst on with the subject of sewing machines, could someone kindly advise what I should do when the stitch on the wrong side has a sort of 'loop', instead of being straight? I suspect it is the tension, but don't know how to alter it, i.e. which is the upper or lower tension. I have a Newhome Model 533.

It's really holding me up so would be ever-so grateful if someone could help.

its normally your bottom tension thats too loose when it goes loopy on the top try your top tension on 3 and tighten your bottom one, does the bottom bobbin slip in side wayson or just drop in from the top also put a new needle in it in case the point has gone. have you got the instruction book if not there should be a picture or two on the net.
