good morning! I am so tired that I'll crawl back into the bunk when the carer has been. Woke twice with cramp and then OH got up to check on his mum, which left me awake for ages. But I have made tea and coffee and left some nice rolls out. I'll be back later

Well, another day at the races, figuratively speaking, at least for most of us. Don't know about the Sarge. She may still be there. Meebo is out of the gate early again today, which is probably part of why she is always such a winner.

Yesterday was lovely, and we were indoors most of the day taking our Welsh exam. How you you say OY in Welsh?? I'm hoping I passed, tho I made some particularly glowing mistakes. Maybe we got extra points for just showing up on a sunny day. Won't know for weeks. Until then, I will replay all the flubs in my head.

Rainy today, with a short break in the rain at the moment, so OH is out doing something on the house. Sounds like everyone is busy with upcoming weddings, gardening, or just trying to get some gettyup in the getalong. Time for some tea before tackling something.

Another beautiful day here - after coffee and some of Meebs rolls I will check that the PO is still there then will potter around the garden I think - either that or sit and read or just sit....

Finished listing the remainder of my lace books yesterday in-between watching the D-Day landings Commemoration events. Now for the lace/costume books and should just about be there. Then [maybe] I can tidy up by my desk again !

But first another mug of tea to help me wake up.

I won't be doing any washing today thats for sure, I could just shake some powder at it and hang it straight out. Nothing lost but hope the rain may change that. Think its time for food now i have woken up.

I lost my shirt and the rest of my uniform Private Cats, still it was an enjoyable day ! I started off well in the first race, my horse came second.
In the second race I was done, my horse came third so I trotted off to collect my winnings and found that because there weren't many running they were only paying out on the 1st and 2nd place !

In the third race my horse was the winner.

After that everything went downhill rapidly and we didn't stay for the very last one as it was getting really chilly, there was quite a breeze blowing on the top of Lansdown Hill yesterday. The cadet's girlfriend quite enjoyed it as she had never been to the races before so it was a new experience for her.

There was a bit of drama in the fourth race when they had real trouble getting one horse down to the starting gates. It took them about ten minutes and one of the women trainers got pushed to the ground but luckily wasn't hurt apart from her pride ! They managed to hold onto him but even when the jockey got on he was bucking like mad, he did run in the end though.
