We have a chicken for later, ( must remember to put it in the oven) Our roofer has just been to lend us his ladder again till Tuesday am so we can finish off the hard to get to bits on the stairs.

It's only a little bit Pam and Mike can't manage it at the moment, should take me 15 mins at the most and Mike will hold the ladders and the paint pot. I will be very careful and i will hold onto a stair pole as well

Thank you Lieutenant Maplegin yes the gin helped me suffer the Eurovision Song contest ! I thought one of the best singers was the lady from France but because she didn't sing a 'jolly' song she didn't get any points ! I also liked the big lady from I think it was Serbia, I thought she was good. Sweden's song was O.K. but the clever animation certainly helped it along !

Now I give you all permission to untie your bidding fingers for the next four days - only to be used on the YDC listings of course ! Carry on troops.

Hanging about on ladder, don't make me laugh it was quarter to sodding ten tonight when mike decided to get the paint out and he painted one bit of wood, badly in the dark, I can only describe him as being thick as a plank, going to bed in a huff soon, I now have mahogany and white splattered banisters and an oak and white parquet floor

PS forgot to say I was going to do it but he would not put the ladders up for me cause he is the man of the house, such a pity he isn't a bleerdy painter

Good morning! Tea and coffee are made, rabbit has been fed and released, now waiting for the carer. It looks like a nice day in spite it being a bank holiday. Must write my blog, which I should have done last week and then there are a couple of email to write. That should keep me out of mischief for a while. I also will have to start getting things together for our trip to Germany and Jersey. As one follows the other without returning home, this will need to be carefully thought out. Time to see to Mil...
