Mornin' troops. Oh Private Meebo I am soooo jealous of your massage. I have the delight of taking the Old Soldier to the dermatology department at the hospital this morning about his weird big toe. It's been the same for months now and the last doctor didn't seem to think it was arthritic bone growth but didn't know what it was ! I wonder if it's a bit of nail grown through the skin in the wrong place ?!

Morning fingers are not 100% yet sarge. Mike said it looks like RA to him but the people in the mad house down the road keep telling me i don't have RA or fibro and when I ask well whats wrong with me then they just say, well thats just it we don't know, thats not a lot of help really is it.

I just had a test for that Penni and she said i hadn't got it because all the points didn't hurt, that was not supprising really as i was bombed out on pain killers and valium as i thought the appointment was to see about my jaw and didn't want it to hurt when they started opening and waddling it about, so nothing hurt apart from my hips and my neck up to my jaw was in agony but she didn't check my feet, hands neck or jaw. Like i said before I was on another planet by the time i got there.

Leg is not going any better at the moment as the expensive ( aquacel AG ) new stuff i bought messed it up again, plus he has now scraped the skin off his shin bone moving something that he should of asked for help with...........but hey he is a man and they are too proud to ask at times.
At the moment he is on the top floor undercoating whistling his head off so legs must not be hurting today, I am fed up of hearing yellow submarine.

Answers Lieutenant Maplegin, don't be silly !
We were there for two hours. The woman who phoned me about the appointment gave me wrong directions and the department we had to get to was miles away. The Old Soldier started to flag half way there and a member of staff had to go and hunt down a wheel chair for us ! Got there at last, it was one of those chairs that behaves like a supermarket trolley and won't go where you want it so I had to drag the Old Soldier backwards all the way.

Then they didn't know what was wrong with the toe so we were sent to the x-ray department and now have to wait for the doctor to write to us. Either he will have to go back to dermatology to get a biopsy or go and see another consultant about the possibility of an operation if it is arthritic bone growth. Either way it will mean going back to the hospital - groan !

PS. they should have got a porter to push the psyco chair.
