Morning - it's a bit nippy this time of day, but the heating's now on and I have my first mug of tea while I read the news websites and check the YDC - which seems very quiet this month.

Physio went well yesterday and she gave me some good tips for exercise at home to help my knee which I must remember to do

There's more tea in the pot and plenty of fresh bread for toast - so help yourself

Thank you Annie. I have made coffee the coffee and can offer a fruit loaf if you don't fancy toast. My cough has come back and the nose is running. I have to venture out to the vet this morning, but after that I think I might crawl back into bed. The alternative is to carry on relisting. Off to look at the YDC offerings. Haven't had a chance yet....

You look after yourself Private Meebo. It might be worth having an MOT at the doctors, you seem to be getting a lot of coughs and colds recently. It sounds as if you are a bit run down with all the stress you have to put up with.

You are right Private Mcc2 the YDC does seem quiet this month.

Still rushing around trying to get the place cleaned up. It looks a lot better than yesterday but I'm desperate to get the rugs shampooed if I have the time. Got to go to the chemist to pick up more dressings for the Old Soldier and get one or two food items. I'm looking forward to the Cadet's birthday meal this evening and getting away from soot !

And who took that lovely photo of you, sarge? I just had a call from the vet. They can't id. whatever is causing Barney's lump, so the slides will have to go to the lab. Fingers crossed that they won't have to do anything because I just had a quote for him to have the lump removed under general anesthetic and dealing with his teeth problems at the same time: £963 I am glad I was sitting down. Off to see if there are any green ticks left. Maybe the next YDC will be for Barney's OP

.. when I tried to pinch a tick nothing happened. I actually had to type in the amount in the box where it states the minimum amount ? never had this before... very odd and off-putting. Anyone else found this?
