A day of tidying up and baking some cakes for the return of the prodigal cadet tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing him and catching up on all the news. So pleased he will be coming to Cornwall with us for a few days too to commiserate with me about getting older !

After snow and hail yesterday, it's rather cool over here in Mid Wales.

Holiday notice is on; suitcase is down from the loft so I can get on - slowly - getting packed for the weekend.

good morning! Been knitting preemie hats for the local hospital and now have 4 finished plus half a blanket. Dull and overcast here. Tea this morning was turmeric, orange and star anise. Delicious

I had my podiatry hospital appointment yesterday.

The outcome is that they don't want to do the operation to fix things because they feel it is too risky because of the lymphoedema

They also told me that they couldn't do any other treatment there on the NHS as I don't meet the criteria set by the NHS
