At mass this morning, the priest asked if there were any Welsh present - he had one eye on me of course!. When I indicated my presence he said..."I'll add a special prayer for you when this Mass finishes! You needed it when I left the presbytery!"

He's Irish-cum-Geordie; as I left at the end of Mass I said to him, innocently of course: "Do you think the Irish team might be persuaded to give the Welsh a lesson, Father?" Much laughter all around....

It was a close shave though! Luckily the French were a man short!!

Mornin' troops. Rather grey on the parade ground but at least it's not pouring.

Managed to get another sack of hedge cut yesterday. Trying to get my money's worth out of the green garden bin collection before it stops for the winter !

Grrrr listing numbers seem to be dropping again I hope that doesn't mean you are all secretly using that 's' word again ?! Get those new listings on pronto - that's an order !

Our Green bins are emptyed all year around accept the Christmas one isn't done, does this means Sgt your stops, usualy keep ours at least half full in the winter.

Sgt have done plenty of relists today & hope to list as well,Somer has lost 2 so will replace & hope to add more than 2.,

Hope all the aches & pains are improving there seems to be a lot of dull weather. with definate chill in the air, which doesn't help the aches

Lieutenant Maplegin ours stop at the beginning of December and I see it starts again at the end of January. I think they must have had complaints as I'm sure it didn't start until February / March time last spring.

Well that was a nice surprise I went down to the post office this morning and then thought I would pop in to the army barbers to see if they could fit me in sometime this week and they said they could do it there and then so I've only just got back with my regulation short back and sides and a few highlights into the bargain !

Morning - things are much easier - so far - so hope to get on with my 'To Do' list today. Probably wishful thinking but will see how it goes.

Ello troops. Struggling with depression again at the moment, didn't want to get up this morning, so I didn't ! I wish the cadet was still here to talk to, still it was nice to have a proper conversation with my hairdresser yesterday. O/H is tutoring a student at our quarters this afternoon so I suppose I will have to make an effort to tidy the place up, sigh !

I forgot to say that the back of my head is now famous. The army barber took a photo for their Instagram account ! You can form an orderly queue outside the mess for my autograph !

What? I see the sun! I wonder if the meteor shower will be visible tonight. It's a day or two past its prime viewing, but you never know about stragglers.

Sorry to hear you are down in the dumps, Sarge. Maybe you can piick up a few items to list while you are there. (Sorry - a riff on an old joke - I couldn't resist.). I know depression is horrible, so I hope this bout goes away quickly. Makes it hard to do much of anything.

Hey - YDC is in a couple days. I better get off my bejeweled bum and get somethings listed!
    Ta-Ta for now!
