    Default Feedback out of date

One thing that irritates me about the eBid website is the fact that the my feedback is always shown to be out of date. For example, it is presently showing at 5 but is actually 7.

I know that I can cure this anomaly by clearing cookies, but many people will not be aware of this, & besides sometimes they save time logging into forums, etc & clearing them would be a nuisance.

I tend to leave feedback as a seller after the purchaser leaves theirs. This way, I can be sure they have received their item & are happy with it; it signifies the completion of the transaction. Until I realised this problem I was not leaving some feedback because the eBid About Me page (at the top) was indicating I had received none, when in reality I had. Of course the true value is shown under, My Feedback, but that is not the point.

How many people are there on eBid who are not leaving feedback because they are not aware they have received any, or are disappointed because although they have purchased or sold something here, their feedback rating has not improved?

I don't have this problem on eBay & I think something should be done to correct it here.

    Alan.

Can you let us know a page that says +5 feedback and we will look into it.

    Thanks

You only have to logout of the main site & login again to correct the count, if you've got stores you need to do that anyway to update the Seller Last Seen function.

Thanks for pointing this out. As you rightly assume, I am logged in all the time. However, I am reloading fresh pages, which are still bringing up the old feedback. Also not many people will know about this & like me will simply click the, “keep me logged in” box, only to find their feedback then never changes. I feel this is a bug.

You could try Ctrl & F5 to refresh, that clears the page from the cache completely and pulls up the latest version. Should then show updated feedback without having to log out and in again.

point is, Nysa, it shouldn't be necessary..
besides, visitors & members alike 'expect' the feedback to be correct/upto date.. it is the 'norm' after all They won't be aware of the anomally, nor would they expect any different(?)

Personally, I don't have this problem, as I don't even get responses to emails asking if all is ok, let alone feedback! LOL
