Thread: What book are you reading at the moment

Just finished 'Alone with the Dead by Robert J. Randisi

Never heard of him before but I rather enjoyed the read all the same - police thriller.

It was in a pile of books which were not in a good enough condition to list, so I kept hthe ones I fancied reading - now got a 'read' pile to go to one of the charity shops in town

Am actually out of books now as my girls have pinched them

It actually feels rather scary - might have to raid the Bookshed

Or raid my eldest's bedroom - I have a feeling they are are a few 'lurking' in there

Found a copy of "A touch of Daniel" by Peter Tinniswood in a charity shop the other day, and have started to read it. I have a copy in the loft somewhere so one will get listed when I have finished reading it again.

    Uncle Mort is brilliant.

It happens all the time to me.
I've just started reading The Shadow Isle by Katharine Kerr, once that is finished I will be out of books I've not already read again.

A recent visit to my local library turned up a copy of "Enough to Make a Cat Laugh" by Deric Longden.

How I laughed (out loud) at the the author's relationship with his 3 (or was it 4) idiosyncratic cats. I cried too when 2 of them died.

Mr Longden has a remarkable talent to 'humanise' the cats and holds some very interesting conversations with them about their daily 'doings'.

Heartily recommended to all as 'light-hearted' reading, especially for cat lovers.

I think more than a few must stop off at my house on the way. I'm convinced mine breed, we have 28 book cases in the house, most of which contain personal books, not to mention the heaps all over the floor that I seem incapable of getting down.

    *Sigh*
