Default Bogus question from what looks like mass mailer

Just now under My eBid i got a question from a new user, somebody with -1 feedback. The message was something like "it looks like the same as your listing. i'd like to buy your item right away. please let me know". I replied somewhat cryptically to the tune of "I don't understand your question. Please rephrase. Thank you". Right after I hit "post" i wondered if i should have just ignored this fishy-loooking question.

When i went back to My eBid to copy and paste it for an exact quote here in Forums, to get opinions, I couldn't find old messages. Is there somewhere they are stored that's accessible to me? Most likely I am unaware of the procedure for getting to them. Thanks in advance.

    Hi

It will be on the auction the "buyer" used to ask the question on.

or, on the email you got from ebid (telling you a q had been asked), try clicking the link again.

Was the question ask on the listing, if so pull up that listing and go down to questions ask and your answer should be there too.

Default That is an attempt to steal passwords and pirate your account

I have also gotten two messages from fertinjulkah [-1].

Sending you to another address to verify similarity is an attempt to steal your information.

    Do not respond.

I have already sent a note to customer support.

You should also send a note to customer support...especially if it is a different user name.

Should i be safe if i only replied through the eBid message system? this questioner didn't give me another address to reply to, thankfully.

Yes, i was tempted to report to customer service but wasn't sure if this occurrence was definitely scamming. However, the wording sounds like poor command of English as well as confusion, let alone shadiness. I will forward it to customer service. That can't hurt unless CS is overburdened.

    EDIT
Sorry but after searching FAQ pages and doing search within Forum for the phrase "customer service" i can't find the email address within eBid to report my shady-looking message. Can somebody give it to me please? Thanks.

Hmm, yeah, I love visiting sites made up of numbers I see that frequently in spam emails - although the hyperlink looks like a legitimate corporate website (often a bank), the real link is displayed at the bottom of the window when you hover the mouse over it, assuming your email client has this facility.
