    Default HELP....Confessions to make !!!

    Confession number 1.
Now, I know the whole idea of opening a shop on Ebid is to sell stuff...right???
Well...I don't want to part with anything!!!
There,I've said it....it's all mine, and I love it, and I don't want anyone else to have it!!!
I have so many dolls/bears and other vintage toys that I trip over them (some live on the stairs), one bedroom is stuffed with them, and I rent a cellar for the remainder...yet when i think to myself 'I must get some stuff listed', I have trouble parting with anything!!

    Confession number 2.
I still buy stuff on a VERY regular basis, and see no signs of stopping!!!
PLEASE....someone tell me I'm not the only one??

I have to confess, I am the same with my cradt stuff. I get just as much fun from collecting as from using, and when I sell something I can't resist using the money to buy more.

When someone asked me what I would like to come back as when I die...I said...the person who inherits all my craft stuff...lol

I really should get it all listed and sold...my family will have a nightmare job when I do go...having to sort out and get rid of tons of treasures.

I have had my doll shop set up off line for over 6 months and never listed a thing in it yet, I can't even bear to sell the junky dolls off ( by junky I mean later barbies that have come along with lots ) one day I may list a shoe or two

I'm so relieved it's not just me....I was beginning to think I was one of those 'hoarders' that they make telly programmes about!!!
The problem is that I keep buying poorly old dolls and teddies that need restoring with the intention of selling them on once they're well again, but, of course, by then they're one of the family, and it would be cruel to sell them, so they join the others all around the house!!
The few that I do list....I keep watching in the hope that no-one else wants them, so I can keep them!
I know what you mean about selling off the 'junky' dolls ,buttons-and-bows, I have two HUGE plastic storage boxes of just such orphans...too good to throw away, unlikely to be bought from charity shops (too old/boring for kiddies, not specialised enough for collectors)..that I have in storage....WHY???? ...that's what I keep asking myself!!
Like you, stitchysil,I do worry what my daughter will do with them all when I croak...she is terrified of some of my dolls...especially the very old wax ones, and I can see them going to the bid landfill in the sky!!
Oh well, guess I'll just have to set up some type of clinic where I can get support from other 'addicts'!!

I think the second choice would be the better option!

Don't think of it as selling them, you are allowing a caring home to adopt one of your dolls and give it a new life.

    Does that help?

my home is full of 'good intentions'

I buy gorgeous fabric, telling myself it will be made into something beautiful to sell, and then its added to my evergrowing pile of other fabric...and.... I have boxes and boxes of 'special' beads that I can't bear to use for something that will be sold and I won't have them anymore...
and don't get me started on equipment to make things, tried once and put aside for 'later on'

perhaps we do need a 'Hoarders Anon' group
