Angry ebid not showing up when doing browser searches

I was playing around today with Yahoo and Goggle. I was doing a search for "online auctions" also "free online auctions" and various other ways in each search engine.

Ebid never showed up in any of my searches. The only place I found it mentioned was in salehoo.com.

This is not a good thing. I think ebid needs to work harder on showing up on these popular search engines.

I think many buyers would use us if they knew we were here.

By the way I am in the USA.

What do you all think? Or am I missing something.

Using both Google.co.uk and Google.com I found "free online auctions" gave top ten hits for eBid. Seems pretty good to me.

Thats great for you guys over there.

But if you are here in the USA and are looking for online auctions it would be very helpful to us sellers if ebid would come up when a buyer is doing a search for online auctions.

If they don't know our name they can't find us when searching.

I'm a British seller but just tried 'online aution' on Google and we were number 1 on the list. I then tried 'online auction USA' and we were number 2 on the list so don't know why it's different from your end ?!

I see it in the #1 spot for "sponsored links" (that would be a paid for position I believe) on the right side of the page....but MZZZDUSTY is correct ....it appears it is not coming up in the general google search results in the top 3 pages on the US side. (That's as far as I went.....generally if it's not there in 3 pages customers won't go any farther.)

I think most people will be searching for actual products and items to buy, yes? So ensuring that your items qualify for upload to Google Products would seem to be more important than results for eBid itself.

Question Did you get anything different to the following?

    I did some search myself...

I tried to search Yahoo for something specific that I know it is exist on eBid. Unfortunately nothing showed up and I was at page 16. Then I searched for "Online Auctions" eBid did show up as a sponsor here and there but not in the search result until page 10. (for the UK eBid)

I did the same thing for Google search

When I search for a certain product id did appear on the first page (not all the product I searched for only some), but when I searched for "Online auctions" I was at page 16 and eBid was no where in the list except as a Sponsor sometimes.

Yes I have to agree, that eBid do need to work on this matter to generate more traffic and from traffic more buyers.
