Oh my goodness Linda, you all have had a time of it. Of course our prayers are with Garry and you also. It gets tough sometimes to be the rock, so you need prayers as much as he does. You have already shown that prayer works, when the Lord turned that cow around. Yes Linda, Praise The Lord. Keep us informed. Love to you both.

Prayer Chain for:
Peggys Friend John - Bladder Cancer -- had bladder removed and cancer is spreading. Update - Having radiation 4 days and chemo 1 day each week. Praise - There were more tumors when he went back for check up so they are giving him another round of the treatments ---- they were concerned that it had spread to his kidneys and when they did the scan the kidneys were all clear. Also for most of the treatments he has had little pain and sickness which is a great blessing.

Elegants Mother - Lymphoma
Grammas husband Brad - Bladder Cancer, Pulmonary Hypertension and Diabetes. Praise - He is doing so well that he is now taking treatment every six months instead of three.

Maplegin - Breast Cancer - Doctors have found Cancer in a lymph node so she will probably need Chemo as well as radiation. Praise - The Doctor's have said that although her cancer is incurable. it is not terminal. Obviously the Lord is not finished with her yet,

Penny and her Father - Lost their Mother and Wife. Father is having an extremely hard time with his loss.

Sophia's niece- Had emergency delivery (baby seems fine) due to mother having pneumonia and swine flu. Praise - She is doing better. She is now eating solid food as they have removed her feeding tube and she is supposed to go home the end of September, although I haven't heard yet if she has.

Youmeus daughter Lynette - Has severe infection in spine and muscles causing problems throughout her system. Praise - Lynette is showing signs of improvement and making milestones in her day to day life. They may seem small to us but they are giant leaps for her.
Gramma - C.O.P.D. and Diabetes - Update - She has swine flu and is in severe pain and she deperately needs our prayer
- Praise - I am doing so much better, haven't had fever in three days now. Thank you for your prayers.
Meebo (Margarete) - Breast Cancer Praise - Praise the Lord, after her recent treatment she was told that no more cancer cells had been found.
Jackie's husband Brad - Went for his treatment today and the Urologist found white cells where they didn't belong. Doctor will have to do a painful biopsy. Praise - His infection is clearing up from antibiotics and won't need a biopsy done after all. Thank You Lord.
Jackie's friend Jenny - Had a miscarriage, needless to say she is devastated. -Update - She is doing well overall, but has days where she is still having a hard time accepting. UPDATE - Jenny had to fly out to North Carolina yesterday to be with her mother, she was not expected to make it another hour. No one including Jenny knows what happened. UPDATE - They kept her mother on the ventilator until Jenny got there. Once there, her mother was unhooked from the ventilator and has been breathing on her own ever since. Praise the Lord for that but Jenny is being guarded as to the outcome.Update from Jenny: since my mom is still breathing on her own, she is moving to the step down unit. Thank you Lord things are improving slowly but surely.
Stitchsyl's Daughter - In intensive care on a ventilator, unable to breath on her own. - Update - She is out of the intensive care unit, off the ventilator and walking for short distances.
Linda's Daughter Lynette - Be in prayer for her financial situation. The School she teaches at say's she needs to be back by December, yet she's still not strong enough to go back to work.
Hopeful2's daughter Rene - Is having breathing problems since getting over the flu.
Jeweleffects - Her store is closed until further notice due to illness. - UPDATE - See post #602
HaroldB - Heard he has been in the hospital.
Jean - She is struggling at present with life and the meaning of everything that has happened to her. Update from Jean - I feel i am getting there, thanks to all for the prayers
Garry, Linda's husband - Mauled by a cow, in the hospital and due to have shoulder surgery in the morning. Update from Linda - Garry's surgery was successful, now 6 weeks of keeping the arm immobile then therapy. He gets to come home in the morning.

Oh Dear Father, it just never seems to end yet in each instance of pain and suffering your hand is visible and for that I am so grateful. Thank you Father for allowing Jenny some time with her mother, only you could have done that, and Father thank you for intervening and answering Garry's call for help by turning that cow around. Be with him tomorrow as he has shoulder surgery, as I know you will. I pray too for strength for Linda, she too has been through so much as has Jenny. Father I continue to pray for Jan's recovery as well as Lynette and Rene. I ask to for strength for myself, as I am feeling so weary right now. You know what is going on in my life and I just pray for strength and peace in family and world situations at this time. Father, I pray that you not tarry in returning to us once again and taking us on to that land where there will be no tears. In Jesus' precious name I pray, Amen.

Well, I'm back! It seems like when it rains it pours and right now we are having floods!

Garry went to chore this AM and a cow charged him, knocked him down and rolled him around on the rock drive. He thought she was going to kill him and he said "Help me Lord". The cow turned around and walked off. PTL

He has a cracked sternum, dislocated left shoulder with torn rotator cuff, cuts, scrapes and bruises. He had 4 staples put in the crown of his head, xrays, CT scans, echo of his heart, EKG. They are planning surgery on his shoulder in the AM (Tuesday). We were in the ER most of the day and I've come home to sleep then back in the morning as soon as I can.

He is in pretty good shape--for the shape he is in. They gave him morphine about 10 AM and again at 10:30 AM and then put a pump on and he had never used it so I am praying he will get a good nights rest and not be in pain.

Please remember him tomorrow if you have a little time, I try to update tomorrow night or Wed.

Dear Father, Thank you for turning that cow around and preventing it from killing Garry when he ask for Your help. I know you are there and see our struggles and it does seem like Garry and Linda are overloaded and so desperately need Your help. Linda is asking for Your help and she is calling on others to pray for them. Father we are praying in the Name of Jesus that You will give them the help they need in accordance to Your will. Be with Garry as he goes to surgery tomorrow morning and Linda needs to be held extra comforting and blessed by Your Loving Arms as the stress on her is to the state of being unbearable without Your help. Be with Lynette and Jenny and Rene and Jan and the others on the list. You have done so much and answered many prayers but the need for Your intervention is still so great. Father, Gramma is in a great need for Your help right now and You know her needs -- she is asking for Your help and You will do it. Remember other requests that are not on here and I ask that You be with the family in my area that lost their dad in a car wreck this week and put their mother in the hospital in critical condition. I thank you for all of that You will be doing to answer these prayers in Your will and I want to be a shinning light for You. Amen

I am very sorry to hear about Garry's ordeal, and he and you will certainly be in my prayers. I had no idea that cow's turned like that. It is a miracle that Garry's cry to God was answered so swiftly and powerfully. It is very difficult to fully understand the storms of life that seem to continually rage. Thank God for being a very present help in our times of need.
