I too have been reading these posts and not commenting, just "soaking" it up! It is so good to hear helpful comments that strengthen all of us.

Burgyeb, thanks for bringing the prayer list forward. Lynette goes back on 9th for test to see if the kidney is functioning properly. She has been teaching full days. When she is laid on your heart please pray she will regain strength and stay strong (physically and spiritually).

Thank you for posting Youmeus, and giving us an update on Lynette. It is such a blessing that she has been able to return to teaching full days. Lynette has certainly come a long way. Praise God.

Father thank you for blessing Lynette with progressive healing and enabling her to return to teaching full days. LORD please touch Lynette with the power of your Holy Spirit. Let her be strengthened spiritually and physically, Bring her into a perfect place of peace. Please give Lynette a good report when she returns for her kidney test on the 9th. We give you praise for being a God who cares about every aspect of our lives. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

The folks of Christchurch, New Zealand are in need of prayer - had a 7.1 earthquake 9/4/10 (their time zone).

LORD I thank you that there have not been reports of large numbers of casualties. I pray that you bless & strengthen the people of New Zealand as they go about recovering from the destruction of the earthquake. Restore power and communications to affected communities. Bless them with your peace. I pray this in The Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I'd also like to add that in a disaster of this magnatude, it's not possible to know of the well being of every person. Lord, if there are any trapped, any who are in extreme pain, any who need medical assistance immediately, please lead them to rescue, safety and care. Great God please spare them from aftershocks and please lead them to the best possible solutions for their physical needs. You are the God of the impossible and some may be in that impossible situation. Please intervene on their behalf. In Jesus name, amen.

Reports out of New Zealand are encouraging in terms of human loss. Two individuals were reported injured out of a population of greater than 300,000. Alot of damage to buildings & other structures. Prayer still needed for those who have suffered loss of property & stability in their lives. Praise God, the outcome could have been much different if this was a densely populated area.

Hello! I'm so excited on so many things I've been blessed with and I want to share them with you. None of us have all the answers, but one thing I do know and that is the faith in God I have and am not ashamed to share it.

There are several scriptures that get me through the tough times; whether it's financial, phsyical illnesses, loss of loved ones or just having a very bad day.

This is bascially to share what I've gone through and what I do to get through them. This isn't meant for debate and no slandering anyone else's beliefs, just a part of me I want to share with you.

Thank you for letting me share this with you.... this is probably the first one I came to know and helped me to see others in a way I never did before;

John 13:34 I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another.

I was surprized that there were comments in her original post that came out during her comments about Job & The Psalms..............i.e.,"having to go through to get through". I joined in with this thread 3 months after joining eBid. I forgot I had posted on page 1, #5 with "Yes, He is almighty" reminded me a little of my closing statement after the synopsis on Job........"God is awesome and He is good". Reflections on His power and His character. These were under the microscope of questioning in the Book of Job. The opening scripture John 13:34 was probably the key reason God's wrath was stirred against Job's three "friends", because they demonstrated no love towards Job as evidenced by their judgemental attitude and condemnation of Job. Going back to the beginning of this thread reminds me of the discussion on The Old Testament Scripture ( It sets the foundation for everything that follows; "a shadow of good things to come" ). [Hebrews 10:1]

MrsBentleys friend - Cancer - The doctors say she will be lucky to see it t her 13 year old's senior prom. 2/13/10 No updates in the past year but need to continue praying.

Maplegin - Breast Cancer - Doctors have found Cancer in a lymph node so she will probably need Chemo as well as radiation.

Indyglo's daughter - Major health issues

Linda's brother-in-law and family - Had tumor on brain removed and needs continued prayer.The original request was made June 2009. He is doing well, has some small seizures due to the pressure on the brain.

Youmeus daughter Lynette - Has severe infection in spine and muscles causing problems throughout her system. 4/22 she had recheck with urologist and kidney function is only 10% in one kidney. They will recheck in 6 weeks and if no better they will remove it.

Gramma (Jackie) - C.O.P.D. and Diabetes - 2/22/10 Waiting for more blood test to find what is causing her legs and feet to swell and be feverish

Meebo (Margarete) - Breast Cancer

Jackie's friend Jenny - Lost her mom

Stitchsyl's Daughter - In intensive care on a ventilator, unable to breath on her own.

Hopeful2's daughter Rene - Is having breathing problems since getting over the flu.

Jean - She is struggling at present with life and the meaning of everything that has happened to her.

HerMajesty's cousins, Gayle and Nancy - See below on Gayle and Nancy needs our prayer for her severe cancer as well as her family.

My daughter (stepdaughter) Theresa - She has two lumps in one of her breasts that the doctors are concerned about being cancerous and she is to have them checked again in 6 months.

Leonard Robinson Ginger's (DesignsByGinger) father - 4/27/10 has esophageal cancer and she would like our prayers for him.

David (Ropegg's cousin) - He is going to Mayo Clinic tomorrow so please pray that the doctors there will be able to find what is wrong as his family doctor doesn't know but his spinal fluid testing results is not good.

Peggy’s Friend John - 2/16/10 PTL John just received word the doctors say he is cancer free -- please keep praying that it doesn't come back. 6/17/10 John lost is battle with cancer today and I would like to thank all those that have been praying for him and please pray for his family.

Grammas (Jackie's) husband Brad – He is doing so well that he is now taking treatment every six months instead of three.

Maplegin - The Doctor's have said that although her cancer is incurable. it is not terminal. Obviously the Lord is not finished with her yet,

Sophia's niece - 1/31/10 My niece had to learn to speak, write & talk all over again; but she was alive! After several months of rehab, she's now continuing her activity within the church & her life as a wife & mother of 2 boys.

Youmeus daughter Lynette - 3/26/10 The doctor said bone in her back is regrowing nicely and can wear the brace less. She can start teaching full days and do anything else she feels like as long as she doesn't push it too far. PTL Update: Lynette had recheck of spine and he bone is growing back, doctor was impressed. She is back to teaching full days.

Meebo (Margarete) - Praise the Lord, after her recent treatment she was told that no more cancer cells had been found.

Stitchsyl's Daughter - She is out of the intensive care unit, off the ventilator and walking for short distances.

Jeweleffects - Jan went home Saturday after almost a month in the hospital. She is doing great.

Jean - Update from Jean - I feel i am getting there, thanks to all for the prayers

Garry, Linda's husband - 2/20/10 He had checkup and everything looks good! PTL

Bill Dawdy - Jan's (Jeweleffects) brother-in-law - 4/6/10 Jan thanks all for prayer for her brother in law Bill who passed away 4/5/10 as he lost his fight against cancer. He was aware and thankful for the prayer support.

HerMajesty's cousin, Gayle - Lost her battle with cancer on 4/30/10.

Thank you LORD for being a God who is compassionate and in-touch with our infirmities and struggles. LORD we continue to lift up those on our prayer list & ask you to meet them at their point of need. Please continue to strengthen Lynette and complete the process of healing that you so lovingly started in her life. Continue to comfort the people of New Zealand who suffered loss of property & suffered injury (earth quake); or loss of life (aircraft accident). I ask these things in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
