the 8/14 edition of the Baltimore Sun,(which covers all of Maryland,and D.C.) has a reprint of a Wall Street Journal article about the growing dissatification with ebay.In it several alternate sites are mentioned not Ebid.As I stated in my entry under the promote Ebid forum,(title Ebid needs to advertise),a relatively small amount of advertising could reap both the company and sellers huge profits.As I also stated in a follow up,my objection to ebay was not that they charged fees,but I did not see my dollars worth in them.It's nice that Ebid does not charge fees,however if it doesn't attract customers,it's money saved and time wasted.thank you Fred

dear Madelaine I took your suggestion and sent a letter to the editor.I doubt that it will be printed since there has been a 40 year fued between my family and the Sun.However as the singer James Brown used to say "nothing beats a try but a fail".I'll keep you posted,but I wish others would write also.thank you Fred

Best site on the net? I see very little sales going through here. Does anyone even know this site exists? When you google for items ebay always comes up but not one listing for ebid. Are googles web spiders banned from trawling the ebid servers?

You don't see any sales going through here because there isn't a facility to see them.

Most sales are BIN, so you don't see bids either.

Look at people's feedback if you want to get some idea of sales and work on the principle that only about 25-30% of buyers leave any.

Dude, I have made 8 sales on here since 9th August to 7 different buyers. It is not dead!

I also find my items appear in Google searches and I have asked many new buyers how they found my item and most found it through a Google.
