How many US sellers are on eBid?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how many sellers on eBid are from the US? I have seen a few here in the forums, but I was thinking there has to be more than that.

You can usually get an idea by checking the U.S. stores. I believe there are 3 of us.

Well, hopefully there will be more in the next few months. I have been looking to buy here but most items are not in the US. And I just started wondering about it. Maybe when more US sellers come more customers will come also. I have been telling everyone I know about eBid.

That's a good question. I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I don't think you can tell just by looking at the stores on the US ebid site because won't there be international sellers there too who ship to USA? We definetly need to encourage more USA sellers to come here. As has been said before elsewhere, if people can't find what they want here they will shop some where else.

Hi guys, I have looked at the eBid stores but the thing is each seller can have up to 5 stores. I just hope with all the new rules and changes with feebay that more US sellers will come here before the holidays. I still have some things on feebay just for the extra income, but I really would like to do holiday shopping here and the isn't much in the way of choices on the items that I need and international shipping is high. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that more sellers and buyers find out about eBid (soon).

Heidelbergreece & Zapit65 1310 US ebid shops is not too bad. When you are logged in on your own site that is the actual shop numbers in the US. If you look at the bottom of the home page and click on somewhere like Ebid Ireland you will see we only have 28 shops now. Portugal who are new have none yet. Keep your eye on it with the changes coming on the other side on 24th of September this will increase.

So when you want to buy USA only go click the buy tab and you can browse the US ebid shops. But do remember not all sellers overcharge on shipping and some sellers do their best to keep posting costs to the minimum.

I myself have discovered with clever packaging I can charge very little shipping for a lot of my items and I am sure some other sellers like myself offer generous postal discounts to reward multiple buys - after all multiple buys save paypal or other payment facility fees.

Give the sellers in other countries a chance always ask about the shipping discounts etc. you might be pleasantly surprised!!!!!!!

There are 1,310 stores located in the US, 3,281 in the UK and 302 from the other country sites. This gives a total of 4,893 stores on eBid.

At midnight last night eBid had 464,502 members*

This means there are roughly 95 members per store and would give a membership split of US 124,360 ~ UK 311,471**

There is no way of knowing how many members are sellers and how many are purely buyers.

*there is another figure available but, as that is the most accessible (and reported) figure, it is the one I have used.
**assuming the member/store ratio to be consistent accross all sites.
