Well.....I don't know about anyone else selling (or should I say trying to sell) in the Classic car section but sales are absolutely dead. I've managed to get 5 sales after sending out over 1000 personal emails to my loyal eb*y buyers, also offering my items slightly cheaper, but they still keep using eb*y. Why??? What is it they don't like about ebid?.....I'll carry on sending out ebid flyers to my eb*y customers, and keep listing regularly. But I'm afraid I won't be spending anymore time and effort into trying to get sales over here. If it does happen...Great! If it doesn't....Move on!

Always a problem trying to wean buyers off Greedbay, basic inertia, have you tried restricting what you sell over there so they are forced to buy from here.

Hi Ken. Hope you are keeping well. I've already tried restricting the amount and variety of products on the other side. But they still won't come and buy on ebid. Strange lot! Still never mind eh! Cheers. Paul.

I am coming back to other auction houses after a layoff. I do these cycles. I list in every auction house I can find until I too get tired of spinning my wheels with no results. Then I do ebay exclusively till I get fed up, then I list in........
We must all remember...the buyers won't come if the sellers won't come and the sellers won't come if the buyers won 't come. The sellers will have to be here when the buyers have a look. We must make the sacrifice for the public good.

I have 700 listings on Bid and of those 700 I have 300 on Bay--all more expensive, but for every one I sell here I sell 250 on bay,the ones I have sold here I have encouraged the buyer to move.
We all want Ebid to succeed, but the search facilty needs improving and the profile needs raising.
Ebid who!! never heard of them and this after 10 years of operation.
I much prefer the ethical feel to Ebid and the much kinder forums so will persevere for the moment, but business is business and one could not survive here alone.

    Hi Bookman.

I sell a hell of a lot of my products on the other side, and also through my website. But to be honest, on here I think we're flogging a dead horse! I'll carry on re-listing a few things on here until the end of the year. And then that is deffinitely it.

I have had 2 ebay customers call me this evening, I have told them both that we have an offer running on Ebid( given then full details of how to find us here) offering the items with free postage and packing, they have both ordered through the other side and I have an extra £60 in my paypal account for postage, either they have more money than sense or they are just bone idle and cant be bothered to register or look. Beats me how they think.
