Thread: 100 ways to kill 8 hours please??

  1. #1

Question 100 ways to kill 8 hours please??

My son has a multiple fracture in his finger and after the initial 5 hours at A&E, then another 6hrs (including travel) at the hand specialist to be told he has to have an outpatients exploratory operation under sedation. We have been told the op is approx 7-8hrs and with a 2hr drive each way, I wont be able to come home in between.

I tried the local b&b's/hotels/inns so I had somewhere to go during the day and surprise surprise, there is a conference w/c Thursday and they are all fully booked

My mp3 player and ds are on charge, but theres only so much solitude I can handle in a hospital!!

Ideas to kill at least 6 hours would be much appreciated!!!

Hope he comes through all that flawlessly.....do you knit? Crochet? I always have a book with me but sometimes I'm too antsy to sit still, so then I like to have a needlework project of some kind to keep the hands busy.

You could eat your body weight in snack foods..............

    Good luck!!!

Is the hospital anywhere near a cinema? I hope he recovers soon.
