Apparently it's the best time of the year to make people redundant - the suicide rate is lower in redundancies made at Christmas time than other times in the year.

I guess this because people still have something more immediate to 'focus' their mind on or look forward too, i.e. Christmas, family etc.

Awwww "e" I would so love to not work but cant afford not to

but I know there are peeps out there that would so love to work but for one reason or another can't,

Having said that I know or presume that after a while i would be one of them that would so like to work.

Yet i've heard it so many time's "thats the best thing i done retiring" and "dont know how i ever managed working there dont seem to be enough hours in a day now"

So for them obviously another door did open and i'm sure it will for you

I have been working part-time for the past 8 years JD

There's nothing (except my age) stopping me from looking for another job but yes, I would be penalised via the tax system if I carry on working and I feel that HM Government have had enough money out of me over the years. It's time I got a little back
