    Default Your opinions please urgent!

    See here first http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=117276

I am trying to make up my mind as to taking on the Social Services through the courts!

My case is the appauling Lack of support given to us during the time my son is at home. Without actually witnessing it the Voilence when he loses it that ONE time per week is frightning. So with the evidence of My TWO permanant scars and Our Younger sons Permanant scare on his Head (in his hair) and the Backing of the Letter by the professor I am trying to decide if there is a case for us to go to Court! Via a firm like Injury lawyer? It would be an Unprecidented case that has not been done before? I cant see why I should not just go for it as It will cost uus Nothing!

PS the School must keep records of Him losing it as well.

I think the best thing is to get professional advice. And that you certainly should get for free and then take it from there

I agree with Meebo, get advice first, you may think you have grounds to

They would know if you have grounds to
Life is serious but taking it too seriously robs you of
    happiness, fun and productivity

You need professional advice and to talk to people experienced in such matters. The opinion of the "man down the pub" (or "in the forum") is worth exactly what you'll pay for it.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

    Nosty,

As someone who has been there.Your biggest problem will be finding
a solictitor to take them on.It cannot be taken on by "accident lawyers" it needs a specialist firm and they do not come cheap.

Good luck with it. You living in London is a big advantage as there are more to choose from.

    Have just thought again.

Your youngest child could "employ" a solictitor as he is the one that requires protection. He should then be able to get legal aid as he is under 16.

Trouble is Red....if you kick up too much stink.....SS will decree that you can't cope, slap an Emergency Care Order on him, and put him into care

Be very wary, anything you say to SS will be twisted, mis-quoted, and used against you

"Kicking off" is impossible to predict .......and the Emergency Duty Team will be as much use as a chocolate fireguard

I sometimes wonder what SS actually do??? People are screaming for help....and get none, and others are abusing & killing children....and go unhindered
Oh yes, I forgot....they fill forms in

Have you got any close friends or neighbours who could run to help at a minutes notice?

    Hope you get something sorted

Terrible situation to find yourself in.
The only ones who can advice you would be a good lawyer.
Or others who have the same problems.
Is there no help lines etc that would give you sound advice?
