    Default Newbie Refugee: a/c suspended, why?

    Hi,

    I'm a refugee from eBay. I created an a/c yesterday, immediately bought something, and mailed the seller to tell her I'm paying by cheque. She replied saying "thank you, I was worried because I saw your a/c was suspended."

    Why have I been suspended? And more importantly, how does one become un-suspended?

    I cannot find anything on the forums which helps about this.
    I think you should possibly have an additional Forum area on this topic!

    As the others have already said, you haven't been suspended, your account is on hold until admin have verified all your details. Once your up and running (which shouldn't take long) you will begin to understand why eBid do this as they don't want to go the dungbay route where every scammer conceivable is accepted with open arms without verification.

    Mystery solved

    First, I'd like to express appreciation to eBid for their very prompt replies to my email asking for help. I was all set to wait forever (having had that experience with eBay) but voila! the replies came in quick and fast. Thank you guys!!

    I'm posting the solution so that others who may find themselves in the same boat get an answer. Here's the HelpDesk response:

    "Many thanks for the information. You registered with a UK address but from outside the UK - this is the reason we suspended your account. Please can you contact us when you are back in the UK by reply to this thread and we will review your account."

    And thanks to all others who responded to my post.
