What sad news. I can't imagine the grief that must come with losing a child and to have to go through that a second time too, how tragic. My heart goes out to them.

Sad for the family yes. People lose children every day though - but without all the Hoo-Haa surrounding this death. Likewise all the media fuss around Jane Goody. People are suffering and dying from cancer each day. I have lost two sisters to it.
Why does being a celebrity or in the public eye make the loss any the greater?
Its always 100 times worse when anything happens to children. The fact that the media have to be asked to give them some privacy should be basic common sense at a time like this.
Well, I couldn't give a fluff for the hoo-haa, I don't care who his parents are. My thoughts are for the little lad, and anyone who loses a child. I've been there myself, I know how much it hurts every single day.
Celebrity or not, nothing can make losing a child any bigger a deal than it already is.
That is part and parcel of courting the media to further your career. You seldom get to pick and choose when they can and cannot intrude on your life (unless you are the royal family). If you choose to live in the public eye you must accept all that goes with it.
I was not diminishing the families personal loss. I was querying why it was being portrayed as a tragedy that we should lament more than any of the thousands of others that occur each day that go unnoticed and unreported. Why should this particular death be the subject of a thread here?
