This is a public forum that was posted to so I am free to express an opinion. Therefore I will not 'butt out' as you so nicely put it.

I have enough coping with the sorrow in my own life without expending too much on people totally unconnected to me. While I acknowledge their loss and sympathise I will not beat my chest over it.

Yep, it is, precisely why I was free to post it in the first place. Butt out were the nicest of words I could think of that meant roughly the same as what I was thinking

Then why bother reading and replying to a thread when the title blatantly gives away the subject matter If a subject doesn't interest me, then I simply ignore. Seems to me that someone is on a windup mission today.

No. I am not on a wind up. Though I can only do that if someone is willing to be wound up.

The subject did interest me. Just not in the way you intended. My interest is as defined in my posts i.e. why this event should be expected to mean more than than all the others that happen each day.

Ladies--You know I love you both, but is this the time and place for this? One of God's most precious gifts has been taken from us. Does it really matter whether it was a John Doe or the President of Whatever's son? I think not. Please take your venom elsewhere. Sorry, this child of God and his parents deserve better.

Ivan has gone to his Heavenly Father--May he rest in peace.

    Blessings to you all

It is very sad about that poor boy, but this is a blessing in disguise. What that little boy had was not a life! He is now pain free. Bless his heart

What Give's here !!! Why the spite ? Why mention this painful subject i you clearly don't care ????

Why not pick up on another subject , that DOES deserve a mention !!! Like the MP that only got weeks for killing someone ?????. Just like you Shelly , my heart and thoughts will be for the family.

This site is becoming like the other side !!! nasty , pointless remarks .

    THOUGHT POLICE !!!!

Why does being a celebrity or in the public eye make the loss any the greater?

Have to agree , and I do not think this is the place for this thread....in my opinion..this should be stopped now......sorry,,,,,,Papa.

Celebrity or not, nothing can make losing a child any bigger a deal than it already is.
I agree shelley, it's profoundly tragic when a child dies.

In the time I have been on ebid I have seen threads about Sumani and other natural disaster victims, threads about local tragedies, house fires, car crashes etc.. and threads about personal losses that each of us have had to bear. The majority of us express our thoughts and sympathies for the victims and their families.
