Exclamation Bid Price & Buy Price - showing as same...

In my shop front my items with both a bid and buy price are showing as the same price, but when you enter a listing you can see that the bid price is really lower than the buy price.

I am concerned ebiders may not be clicking on the items as they will not see that the bid price is really lower than shown in my shop front.

Have you been changing the prices at all? There is a known problem at the moment with prices not updating on the list, when the listing has been edited.

If that's not it, I suggest posting a few IDs so that ebid can investigate would be helpful.

Is there? It wasn't known to me. I put in a support ticket last night for exactly that reason.

Well there you are, if it wasn't known before it is now.

It was being discussed yesterday - you must hit "mark forum read" even more than I do.

No. I was aware it was being discussed. I was part of the discussion. I just wasn't aware that it was a 'known problem' in that eBid were aware and working to rectify it. Hence when it affected me personally last night I submitted a support ticket outlining the problem.

Response just in from eBid. They are treating it as a curiously empty box (They are looking into it).

Odd error though. Why would such data be stored in more than one place? Surely a price (and other such listing data) should be stored once and any page that needs that information should fetch/write it to that one place.

    Lightbulb

Think I have found a way around the problem. Not tested it much though.

If you edit the listing and the Bid Price does not change after you save then open it up for edit again, alter nothing and just save it again. That seems to force the update.

Oh no.. same problem again this week. ebid fixed it for me last week but every Sunday I put 10 items on sale, and the reduced prices just aren't showing up unless you actually click into the listing, from my shop home page it just looks like i've listed all 10 items at the same price as before (

I tried going in to edit as per astral's suggestion above but this had no effect.

I'm hoping ebid will help again, but this is the third week in a row that this has happened.
