    Default Got my map back

    Some of us posted we could not see our map on our about me page. I could not see mine, others said it was there, any way, i can see mine again now.

    No it's not - there are people who have entered their postcodes in the correct format and still have maps - but that may explain why some of the maps are incorrect.

    just changed my post code , Took out the space , so I think it might take a while to see mine....or do I need to do something else ????......papa.

    I don't see what difference a space in the postcode should make. The standard format for a postcode includes a space between the area/district and sector/unit elements. So why should eBid deem it shouldn't exist?

    Inputting a postcode either with or without a space into Google Maps (which powers eBid's maps) both return the same location.

    The only way I could see it making a difference is if eBid stops parsing the postcode when it meets a space and, in such cases, forwards only the area/sector element to Google for the generation of the map. If that is the case (unless by deliberate design) then eBid needs to fix it as it is sloppy coding.

    I'm fairly sure that is what they do, since it's the only sensible explanation of why the maps are so far out for some of us.
