I see Question Time on BBC1 has been brought forward to 9pm tonight. After the latest set of revelations I wonder what excuses will get churned out tonight. The usual I only followed the rules, I expect, much like "I voz only obeying orders"

I hope there are a lot of Independent candidates to vote for, the arrogant blighters seem to think that the main parties are the only ones qualified to run the country. I doubt the average MP is any more intelligent that a lot of the electorate, I daresya there are plenty of 'ordinary' people who could do a darn fine job just by applying a bit of common sense, an ingredient sadly lacking in Westminster it would seem.

I am right p****d off.... in our local elections we have the grand choice of two canidates... 1 Lib and 1 Con ... every where else around us have at least 5 and in one case 10 canidates to pick from.... I for one will be voiding my ballot paper... and from what I have heard so will a lot of others.... it could be a case of voided ballot papers will get the highest number of "votes"....

yes I know locals are different to general elections but neither of our canidates have said anything about local issues they are talking about country wide issues

No local elections here at all.

The European elections for the Eastern Region have 14 different parties, at least a third of them I'd never heard of before, & one independant.

Cannot find who's standing for locals (anyone know how i can find this info?), but those standing for the european elections there are 13 "parties" all with more than 1 candidate

I would favour the Greens in the europeans, a reasonable enough choice without being to fringe, and would send a clear message to the 'Main' parties.

I'm being a poll Clerk (as usual) on June 4th.

We are having THREE elections with three ballot papers and boxes.
The Euro one is at least 2 feet long!!

The others are for Borough councillors, and parish councillors.

Just hoping it will be a low turnout - will be very boring though, stuck there from 6.30 am to 10.30pm!! - But i just think of the money! LOL
