About 20 years ago I had to go to a local Police station to pick up a young lad who had been AWOL.
He had been arrested by the Police at a football International along with a group of hooligans and was being handed back to our tender mercies.

The Desk sergeant told me that the prisoner had self harmed (although that wasnt the Phrase he used as it hadnt been invented) while in custody, but that he was ok and We shouldnt be alarmed at his appearance.

When we got to the cell door there was half a dozen Bobbies all stood around giggling and peering through the door flap.

When the door opened I was gob Smacked he had the word DNALGNE tattood on his forehead.

The Bobbies all fell about laughing and that made him frantic,

"This is a statement, This is where I am From" "Im proud me" he was saying.

Then I just collapsed into laughter as I understood what he had done.

He had tattood himself in a Mirror and what he thought it said was ENGLAND.

No one had told him of the mistake.

Often wonder what became of him.

    Paul

To be specific, it hurts more in different places. But what i will say is that its an enjoyable pain. Its hard to exsplain, but your like.... owww that hurts... hey thats kinda cool at the same time .

My dad says the most painfull places are, pecktorial (chest brest)
and lower belly (proberly sun burnt)

Just do acouple of vodka and oranges before you get it, sorted.

O yea and good tip from jean, put them places you can hide, just for when you get old you dont want a huge beefy tatoo down your arm, or maybe you do....

I got mine, down the side of my carf and on my right hip.

Anyway, what I'm tryin to say here is that books shouldn't be judged by their covers, same goes for people
    You look normal to me~
    And happy too

I don't judge people by the way they look,
only by the way they think and behave.

I'm passing this all on to the daughter. She does want a small one, to start with , she says.

I just may tan "her hide", ( not heard that expression in a long time ~ )

or have one myself. Small one on my forhead that says Ebid

Should make a good talking point~

    Now those she would like.

Should I or shouldn't I show those to her?

I could e-mail them to her tonight, but then she might get them done while I'm away.

I designed them myself, and the tattooist (aka Tony the Ted!) traced them onto my arm.
They actually are not finished - there is supposed to be a garland of flowers right round the bird, but I ran out of time as was going on holiday and they somehow never got done! LOL

    Glad you said that!

She is an artist, so she can design her own.

I never thought of that, Wonder if she has~

I designed mine as well, with input from the artists who did the work.

The reputable tattoo establishments will turn away anyone who smells of liquor, or seems in any way "impaired." Liquor or substances that thin the blood cause more bleeding during the process, and they want to be able to see what they are doing---apart from the host of other difficulties they could run into with a person who is anything but alert, conscious, and fully aware of what they are getting themselves into.

I wouldn't mind a Celtic ring around my wrist.

    Bet that WOULD hurt~
