Why doesn't my ebid item show up on a google web search like an item on ePay would?

er...... I use google shopping and product search.
also think one of the op question was why do the items not turn up in there regular search they do it all depends on you title and keywords I think but have found my stuff from the dark side on there.
Also if op has a shop on the darkside and has ever check his traffic reports all of the hits on the that which say google this and google that most of them come from google shopping and google product search so he should know somebody who use's those sites???

Hi:
First I did wonder why? And I found out that Google recently change its rulings about bulk uploading items to its database. Here at Ebid, after we upload our items to Ebid, all uploaded items be changed and added Ebid logo to them. Google will not allow you to upload an image that owned by a third party (images with Ebid logo on them are owned by Ebid). You can register with Google Base, following guideline and bulk upload yourself. I did and I already have my items uploaded successful into Google database.

lol, that is funny, if you copy and paste my listing tittle in googles search bar, a link to this message in this Ebid Forum list halfway down the first page of the google search results. you might think this is right but I dont. If they can find my listing title in a message on a forum they sure should find the listing itself. They just are not looking! The Message was listed long after the item was uploaded to googles data base. So I do not think it is a time thing. I will say again we would get many more viewing our item if the item showed up on a typical google search.

my items are in google base, they were uploaded by Ebid with no problem, Pictures and all. I just do not understand why when I search on Google I can not find them unless I go to google shopping

your items arent in google base unless you loaded them there yourself, google base is not searchable unless you have a google account

may i surgest you list a couple of BINS only and watch for the results

your items seem to be showing up ok on google but there on a different web site to ebid, you may have a conflict of interests google loading the same item twice, this problem hit ebid earlier in the year when auto uploads stopped while google sorted out sellers/web sites double listing in there searches.so you need to make a choice it would seem! try list a few things just with ebid and see what happens

did you read what I wrote? My item is in google base because I can find it if I use google shopping. So what you are saying here is not correct

I will try it again on google and see, by the way where are you from? I wonder if your google search there is different then mine here in the states?

I just checked using the exact title of the listing as shown above after 5 pages of google search results I did not find it.
