depends on all sorts of things. as with any collectible. condtion of figures, condition of box. are they painted or not etc etc.

Yes they are looked for, especially if they are boxed.

Are they all Airfix, or other makes as well?

My son was well into HeroQuest (until he grew up). In the recent clearout I found boxes of the stuff...filled a huge black bin bag with figures etc...

I was going to chuck them out until I saw what they were selling for on the other side.

When I have time I will photograph and list them here, with a cat in my shop for just them and see if there are any takers.

    Its always worth a try.

I might be interested in Heroquest stuff. Is it similar to Heroscape?
It depends what you have, the scale of the figures and so on, but you've got my interest.

I will try to sort a few out asap and let you see what they are like...
will pm you when I can.

I'm a little busy at the moment. Just had a major refurb job on the house and all my stuff is in storage. But hopefully it will be back on Monday and I can get it all reorganised and get my shops up and running again.

Syl and Hushy - please do list them on eBid - the Toys and Games categories really need more listings of that type of stuff to pull the wargamers across from t'other side

Any advice on these would be appreciated, should I leave them in the loft or put them up for sale? What sort of price are they likely to fetch, would a start price of a couple of quid be too high?(They're 1:76 scale)

If you put them in Toys & Games - Wargames & Role Playing - Plastic Models you'll need to be very specific if they're 1/76 or 1/72 (1/76 is 24mm comparative scale for wargamers, 1/72 is 25mm wargaming scale)

If you put them in Toys & Games - Model Railways, they'll need to go in the OO-scale categories (1/76 = OO scale)

I'd suggest (but do your research in case I'm wrong) an auction start at 1.99 each with a BIN at 2.95 - should be fairly certain to sell at that price. Depends on how old they are and if there's any collectible value to them though. (I think JB Models is one of the newer manufacturers? and maybe not "collectible" as such yet)

One point to note (you probably know already) is that both of those are current British military vehicles, and both are in use in Afghanistan and Iraq - both of which are currently popular theatres/periods for wargamers at 25mm/28mm scale, so you might do well in there with them.

Thanks for the reply Gaz.I've done a bit of research since & found that jb closed down & sold their templates to Airfix. The models I have are dated 1996.They're on greedbay for around £3-4,so your suggested price is about right.
My new year resolution is to rapidly reduce the weight on my attic floor/bedroom ceiling (before it collapses!) so will put them up soon. Many thanks for the input.
