Even in my meat-eating days I couldn't have tried tripe. I can't say I don't like it, as I've never eaten it, but since we used to feed the unwashed, unbleached, straight from the slaughterhouse stuff to the dogs, I was sufficiently put off to never wish to try it. We bought it frozen, and used to thaw it in a bucket of water with a brick to stop it floating, so that as all the, um, "sewage" shall we say, in which it was coated thawed out, the smell wasn't too bad. The dogs loved the stuff!

I remember feeding my German Shepherds that. Used to buy it straight from the slaughter house.
