I'll eat or try pretty much anything.
I did have a seafood cocktail once, and it had this big gray and orange thing on top, which I think was a sea slug? - Never, never eat one of them. It tasted exactly as you would imagine in your horribilist imagainaton, what a slug out of the garden would taste like. very very nasty!
I've never eaten brain, but I'd be happy to try it.
My dad ordered a brain salad while we lived in Turkey,a nd wehn it was brought to the table it was not quite how he expected it to be served. It was a cooked brain - (WHOLE), with a salad garnish around it!
For those who aren't fussy about filtering what I sell - Take a look at ALL my stuff above. - But for more specific listings, take a peek in the stores below.
TOY-PALLOI - For all sorts of traditional playthings!
THE PAPERBOYS PLEASURE - For Books & Magazines
OUT ON THE FLOOR - For Records - (mainly 1950's - 60's)
VIEWPOINT - Photographic Equipment
THE SCRAPYARD - Spare parts for old cars and bikes
One look at my picture and you can tell I rarely pass up anything edible. Haven't had the pleasure of some of your local cuisine--Haggis, snails, etc., but I've had my share of the unusual. Gator, coon, rattlesnake, eel, squid, brains, polk salad(poisionous if not prepared correctly), day lillys (lovely in a salad), quail, dove, head cheese, pig ears (didn't particulary like them), and I absolutely love liver! Haven't had the pleasure of having possum yet. It has to be prepared correctly and I haven't found anyone who does it anymore.
Also, never say never! If you get hungry enough you will not only eat the stuff you swear you wouldn"t eat, you would eat the box it came in!
Love to all
