Default A Ode to William Wordsworth (Well sort of!)

Just came across this bit I wrote in 2001 in a creative writng course with Bangor University.

    An Ode to W. W.
I wandered as lonely as a cloud.
My gait was feeble, my head was bowed.
I struggled, breathless O’er vales and hills.
My path strewn with flaming daffodils!
All at once I began to sneeze.
Pollen had brought me to my knees
Swollen tears ran down my cheek,
How could I survive another week?
‘Twas hard, ‘twas grueling, and I was so blue.
I’d have given my kingdom for a ‘Kleenex’ tissue!
My feet were blistered, my body racked with pain.
I vowed never to come near this place again!
So while within you, the love of lake-land poets grows,
I’ll do what I do best and stick to prose!

I love poetry. In particular the classics:

Oops! We've just been caught by the Quick Digesting Sneet!
Now we're tossin' in his molars....
Now we're restin' in his lower intestin....
And now we're back on the street!

There was a young man from Caerphilly
Who couldn't help but feel a bit silly
For the man, whose name was not Billy
Had a great big boil on his *****.

Oh, you will have to write a second one for the US audience, most don't know what you mean by THAT word here!
