When I woke up this morning I discovered that I have made a sale to someone in India.
Anyone else sold there?
Hope it goes OK.

I have sold into India a few times, not on here but on Feebay. Never had any problems although I am told the Indian Postal service can be slow. I'd still send by trackable service though just to be safe.

Previous experience is that items sent to India by standard mail services can take a long time to go through the Indian equiivalent of Customs that deals with inward items. If you do not send by tracked mail, then there is no chance of finding out where the item is if it is delayed in the Indian system. However, even with tracking it could be difficult to find out what has happened if there is a delay - the Royal Mail signed for service generally tracks items until they leave the UK, then it is a matter of contacting the Inidan postal service to find out from them where your item is. If the sale is for a low value item, best approach might be to advise your custoimer that progress through the postal system is outside your control and could be subject to some delays at the Indian equivalent of Customs. If it is a high value item, it might be worth considering the Royal Mail express airmail service which should get priority going through the system but which costs more.

If I remember correctly, both my items were books, and they got there in about a week, which I thought was extremely good
twice sold to India, one went OK, the other apparently went missing???
