Thread: Accepting Paypal Payments as a Seller

  1. #1

Default Accepting Paypal Payments as a Seller

I am new here and am a little confused. Can I accept paypal payments for my auctions or does it have to be PPPay? I am in the US and don't see a way to accept PPPay in the US.
Thank you for your help in advance.

You can use paypal, if you're a seller plus. Put your paypal account details into your "my ebid" records, and tick paypal as a payment method on your listings. If you're not seller plus, you can still accept it, but not automatically. Sellers here can use any payment method they like, but if it's not integrated (as a seller plus) you simply have to send the invoice manually from the payment system itself.

You can accept whatever payment means you want - even Jelly Beans if that is your desire. Here on eBid you get to run your business as you want and not on random dictates from the site.

Hi Maggie May and welcome to ebid! I am a US seller too and offer PayPal and checks/money orders/cashier's checks. That way it pretty much covers all my old feebay customers (many who quit because feebay does not allow sellers to accept checks, etc).

If you have any questions, we are here to help you get up and running fast. Holidays are approaching and you want to get in on the action get your listings in, stores opens, etc. To get google coverage, automatically relist 8-10 times (most of us get ALL of our new buyers from google searches).

Within a short time of putting in your listings, if you don't get bids/sales or visitors, let us take a look at your listings and suggest a few tweeks to get you selling fast.

    good luck!

I think the OP was asking about PPPay not Paypal?
So, if I understood correctly, then PPPay is not available to USA.

pppay is only available to UK and some countries that use the Euro, which is a bit odd as on pppays home page it has $ as a currency so can easily be misleading

I would love pppay to be available to all

    ?????? Where?

I'm afraid PPPay always feels a bit like yesterdays project. Still working but nobody is really interested in it any more. With a rethink and a revamp it could get used a lot more and generate money.

Ahhh! Silly me. When you said 'home page' that was where I looked.
