    I put the teabag in first, then the water, then sugar (4 of them), then froth up the milk before pouring it in.
    I also leave the teabag in so can suck it at the end.

    coffee i put the milk in first

    With tea, for me it has to go in last, I hate peewashytea, so to determine the strength I add the required quantity of milk after the tea is poured

    Hot strong an sweet does it for me -- teabag (unsucked ) goes in the bin!

    I live in a hard-water area too, but only get scum on the tea if I'm not taking sugar.

    Apparently putting the milk in first reduces the amount of tannins released!
