Waiting for a delivery by City Link this morning I have just discovered via their website that I'm not in and they left a card. Well I am in and I am at my desk by the window and door. Also there is no card. This is the third time they have done this to me.

I am sure that if they have a lot of deliveries they just pretend they called and actually just leave some parcels at the depot.

The call centre claims they must have called as the driver has taking a photo of my blue door. Do they think we have never heard of Google Maps and that whilst they say they are checking their computer they are actually looking us up on there.

Now why didn't I think of that. I will remember that for next time, and I am sure it will happen again.

Can't be bothered now especially as it would mean being on hold on the phone at xxp per minute again.

Friday must be a bad day for carriers, TNT have done the same on one of my consignments, tracking says customer not in card left, best one is they have delivered to this customer once today with a different consignment.

Slightly off topic - but about carriers and delivery companies.

When I send large wholesale packages to the States, I usually hunt around for smaller couriers who send pallet loads over, and give a good individual price.

3 months ago I send a load of magnets to one of my customers.
I decided to go through the Parcels2Go website.
Their link for USA deliveries took me to DHL website.
Delivery for that package was just over £55.00.
I pay part of the customers delivery fee, so they were happy with that.

3 weeks ago, I had a similar size package to go to the same customer.
Logic told me, that if it was £55.00 going through Parcels2go website, then clicking on the DHL link there, then it should be cheaper to go direct to DHL.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Same amount of items, same size package, same delivery service..........total doing directly thrugh the DHL website was £137.40.
I then went back to the Parcels2go site, and clicked on DHL link in there - entered the same details...........total this time was back to £55.00.
Package was with the customer in Oregon in under 5 days.

Same happened to me and every day for the next 7 days. I aranged for next day delivery with no delivery.I will never use them again or order from anybody that uses them.
