Ebid Car Parts Enquiries?

No I'm not talking about your stuff at all.I was talking about spare parts new and secondhand.I wondered if you'd ever thought of selling packs of nuts and bolts in stainless for different vehicles,I thought they might be a good seller.
I don't think I'd describe this site as dead,it might be rather ill but I still get sales in fits and starts,realistically though it simply doesn't yet compete with the volumes generated by you know who.

The problem? You need to be a member of Ebid to ask a question.

I realise that Ebid want to avoid transcations taking place outside of Ebid but I can't see us making any sales unless the customers have asked there usual questions about delivery/suitability etc.

how can this be a problem when we have paid up front.surely it doesnt exist on ebid exept for the extras.

I sell on several sites but only use Borderdoors on ebid,the email addy I use here is only for ebid as well however just lately I have noticed that several peeps have been tracking me down and emailing me to my other email address and saying they have seen my items on ebid but dont want to go through the whole rigmorole of signing up just to ask a question. Looks like to get sales here I am going to have to change all my photos, my logos etc so that they dont find me elsewhere along with an email addy.
Saying that, one customer did sign up after asking the question and placed a nice big order because I wouldnt discount prices elsewhere to match here.
I dont know what the answer is other than to keep trying to push them back to ebid and register, obviously last thing I want to do though is loose a potential customer completely by being too heavy handed.

This section of the forums is about as dead as the dodo.Doesn't bode well for trying to sell cars or spares.That leaves a big section of the market with little representation on here.

Now that the postings to the Forum making negative comments about other auction sites and about different communities within the UK seem to have died down, I will start listing car parts again here.

All in all the more car parts sellers that come to join EBID ....the more BUYERs will follow..

I'm sure if we all look we can find some stuff in the shed or garage that we don't need anymore.There are loads of people looking for car bits ,for the newer cars and older ones and at the moment there is very little of either on ebid.
