Wrong person? Maybe, but apparently no "Right" person in attendance at that school!

It would be best if everybody here wrote a letter to the school showing the disgust we have for it?

Good idea. Let's start a "wag of the finger for stupidity" movement. Embarrass them from near and far. People who were responsible for the wellbeing of kids certainly let them down in this case.

Fly the family to Disneyland for a weekend. That would make them smile.

Well based on the article in the Telegraph it even feels like the school is blaming the mother for not asking the right person!!!! It is absolutely disgraceful.
Maybe the staff of this school should be made to contribute to something to be given to the poor little kiddies!

She shouldn't have had to ask in the first place she's had enough stress with having lost her husband ! Why did she have to phone at all ?! They should have been aware of the situation at the school.
