Default Two stroke oil in diesel.

I run an old fairway taxi as a runabout. The engine is fine but its done 390,000 and it rattles a bit.I have heard that a low ash two stroke oil added to diesel in the ratio of 100 to 1 improves things a bit, apparently it makes up for the lack of sulphur in modern fuels.
    I gave it a go.
No real extra power but the engine is quieter and on starting and running from cold the typical diesel knock is less apparent.I don't promish it works or every engine but it might be worth a try if your oil burner is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Same result when I put my XUD engines onto veg oil! Less knock. Over 300k in total done that way (XUDs having fuel heaters of course).
