    Default printer error help

    Epson printer..used those replacement ink things (not epson) now i have put new ones in it is telling me they are not genuine..and i cant get it to print..any ideas ?

    It should ask you (well mine does) if you want to continue using the installed ink cartridges. Answer Yes and it should go merrily on its way without further complaint.

    I have read that if you answer No then the cartridge(s) become unusable. I have never put that to the test though.

    its not giving me an option of yes or no Mel..only a button to take me to buy genuine Epson ink..

    Maybe post your printer's model number in case someone here runs the same model.

    Have you Googled the model number + error message? That often throws up workarounds.

    Epson SX110 have tried looking at manual will now try google..

    Somebody told me to not use the on screen menu just use the buttons on the printer to install.Worked for me.Also some replacements never work and other types do.

    didnt use the on screen Spyder..arghhhhhhhhhhh two lots of ink carts ruined..guess i will have to go buy epson..blerdy rip off

    Talk to whoever supplied you with the cartridges as suitable for use in your printer.

    If they are not then they are not 'fit for purpose' and you are due a refund.

    i just read an article from USA..epson are blocking the use of compatible cartridges
