doing our first fair for a year
Due to Pams cancer we are doing our first postcard fair for a year... a big 3 day one ... 5 hours yesterday... 10 hours today and 9 hours tomorrow.....
and we are both knackered already.... Why do we do it... answers on a postcard.... we need the stock

As far as being knackered is concerned - don't go wandering off too much to see what other sellers have to offer (and be tempted to buy), have a couple of chairs by your own stand and have a sit down in between customers.
Glad to hear you are both feel well enough to do this.

Do you feel more, i dunno how to explain it,
a sense of fullfillment, as it's your stock, the fact that you are seeing the customers face to face, taking to the customers first hand, see what they are actually looking at, and mostly, the pleasurable feeling of doing it for yourself.
I know that after i have done a bootsale, I feel like that,a sense of acheivement if you like
summit i done not no one else and i done it for me even tho i'm knackard after it

We arrived at 8am yesterday... the fair opened at 10am... the first time we sat down was at 4pm... I have never known us to be so busy.... by midday we hade taken as much money as we had in the whole of the last fair... and we still have today to go!!!! not that I am complaing too much... the "daft" thing is we are selling totally different stuff than last year card wise.

we might be a fibber but it hasn't stopped us buying around 1,700 stock (so far).... and we have still made a lot more than we spent......
only problem is Pam is totally shattered (which is only to be expected)
