I'd have thought with how few serious buyers there are on here that listing a car would be hardly worth the bother to be honest.

I wouldn't say that bacon ... I've been looking for a cheap running motor with tax and MOT for a couple of months now. Daily I look on here then have to jump over to the other side due to the lack of listings on here for "pay and drive away" vehicles under £500. The other side is flooded with them, but each gets an avalanche of snipe bids at the last minute and goes out of my price range.

There is a definite market for the "banger" sector in motors (always has been and always will be) that is even more viable nowadays with Sterling in the basement and the economy still dragging along the bottom. It's one of the categories that I feel eBid should be promoting to get a name awareness amongst the general public.

.... if anyone has a really cheap motor with a bit of tax and MOT, and a decent bodywork and engine - get it listed and PM me with the listing link.

    Gaz

I get a closed auction with that link and the other one Mel.

No wonder, just noticed this is an old thread! DUH!

I know this thread is a bit old but so as not to discourage others I just sold my car on here after only 1 weeks listing so hopefully things are picking up. I think if its the right price it will sell.

    One happy eBidder.

Congrats on the sale of your car. More listings needed in that area; also real estate.
