Thread: If I wanted to open a new store for....

  1. #1

Default If I wanted to open a new store for....

vintage items (books, toys, collectibles), what is the appropriate category?

I have a few antique items, but most are just vintage. I have books, some toys, and some miscellaneous collectibles.

Would that be a general store, or collectibles? Since it's a modge podge of different items, I wasn't sure?

I'd go with General, but views might vary!

If you have quite a bit of one thing, and only a small amount of others. Put it in the category that you have the most of. If it is all close to equal amounts put it under General Store.
It is still best to use all your stores as much as possible.

Interesting... I find "a small amount" of something irrelevant in a shop that claims to be for a particular type of item, oddly annoying. If I browse a book shop I don't want to see vases for sale. Though I wouldn't have the same problem in real life... perhaps because they rarely classify themselves? Mostly they just have a name and let you work it out for yourself.

I guess I might just use general store because I don't want to mislead. I have several of each item and I still have tons to sort through, so I don't know what I'm going to find LOL!

Maybe kimbo has a vintage banner for my new store????????????
