    Question Breaking the rules????

Assuming that non of the below are visible in "the PHOTO"; are "the RULES" broken 1) If the labels on a product give advice about alternative sources of supply? 2) If another auction site is noted on the label? 3) If the same product is offered on other auction sites but on different terms?

I've no idea what you are asking, maybe I will if made clearer and then be able to advise

Not sure if I understand what you are talking about, but I will give it a go.

    1) No. Especially if its an electronic item and parts and accessories are needed. Might have to look elsewhere or from the company itself.

    2) Not sure about what label you are talking about. Shipping label perhaps? It is well known the "other site" puts their logo on the PayPal shipping labels when printed from their site. Some fail to trim that part off, not realizing that they can.

    3) No. As long as its not advertised on the eBid seller's website.

If I've understood your question correctly... you may label your product however you like, and you may promote any other website on your product or in your packaging. As you suggest, if you tried to do any of that and it was *visible* in the photograph used here, there might be an issue - though whether or not that was so would be up to ebid themselves, of course, and I've given up trying to predict which way they'll go in any particular case!

Thanks to all. Sorry if the question was ambiguous. bykimbo and banrigh got the message. I think I'll post the same on an Ebay forum and see what responses I get.

I don't think they will care on the eBay forums what you do on eBid.

At least one will ask you if you're a business seller!

I must admit that I'm not too clear on what you're asking. Are you trying to establish name recognition so potential buyers will recognize your offerings on any site you list on?
