Question How to cancel an order?

    Hi.

I recently bought an item using BuyNow but i now i would like to cancel it. I haven't paid for the item, all i did was click on BuyNow. I checked the FAQs and did some forum searching on how to cancel an order but i didn't really find what i was looking for.

How would i be able to perform this?

    Thanks for your time.

I don't think you can cancel the thing you have bought. You will have to sort it out with the seller.

the terms and conditions of this (and any other site) states that once you have won an item you have entered a Legally binding contract to buy said item.... therefore the seller might not let you out of the sale and if you fail to follow the sale through you could (as a minimum) get a negative feedback.

Have you contacted the seller to sort out the options?

If you didn't find what you were looking for, why did you click "buy now"?
The technically means you want to buy now. By doing this, you have taken a sellers item offline and caused them to be charged final value fees.
You are now at the good nature of this seller.

Buying on an auction site is different to ordering something from an online store, as said previously once you have clicked the Buy Now button you have made a agreement to buy the item, you have made a purchase rather than placed an order.

If you want to cancel it all you can do is contact the seller and hope they are willing to do this.

This. It's simply how internet auction sites work.

There is no order cancellation routine. What you do depends on if you and the buyer are doing this amicably, or if you consider them a non-paying buyer; if you need to claim back fees (so small here not always worth bothering!) An order canx process built into the system is something a few of us have asked for, but no luck so far.

Well, I guess I could take the hump but no good would come of that! I don't want to pay for it though that would annoy me, esp as she's canceling cause her husband had a go at her for buying more stuff ...
