afternoon all , just being a little nosey here , which broadband server are you using...and how fast or slow a speed are you getting compared to what you are paying for.....
.... I use BT , pay for UPTO 8 meg speed and it is normally high 6 to 7.8....and have had a few at 8....lowest has been 880....but that was a serve problem....I know a lot depends on how far from the phone thingy you are ??....so , speed , compared to what you are paying for.....papa.

I have no idea what speed I am getting from my Vodafone mobile broadband gismo. But it is VERY slow, about dial up speed at it's worst, very occasionallly it does speed up though.

Don't know what the speed is on my Roadrunner but it's fast. We're wireless in the house because of the many different computers (7) A PS3 that also uses wireless, a WII that uses wireless and an XBox that uses wireless (daughter loves gadgets) we use a belkin setup for the wireless.

Ours is quite fast well only cos I have a new computer, it seems faster. But I dont have a site that allows you to measure your speed.

Im with BT (at loggerheads with them at the moment)

Mine is abysmal... it is rarely better than this. I pay for up to 8meg with BT. We are simply in a bad reception area. We can't get a TV reception, therefore no freeview .... it can be difficult to get a mobile phone signal.
I tried this test with nearer servers, with the same result. I even tried Paris!!

Depends on what you are supposed to get. Looking at your figure against the ISP average it doesn't look too bad - but if you are paying for more than 15M then it may not be so good.

The only true way to get a real test of your bandwidth is to download a group of files all at the same time and total up the bandwidth across them all. Most speed tests only test a single file from a single server so the server capabilities/load will affect how fast your connection is reported to be.
