Unhappy new on ebid, auction removed for Rolex watch

Hi everybody maybe someone can help me, just started today an auction for a Rolex oyster Date Mens, Ladies watch got the confirmation but now the auction is not there anymore and no message or anything, I am clueless how to reslove this, I am used to other auction sites that will let you know what is wrong.

I am brand new with 0 feedback, any help will be appreciated.

I have already signed up for seller + lifetime, would it be better to run the auction in a store???

    thanks

    Oliver

thanks a lot I checked that out before but that is very vague and so far as I can see it does not apply to me!!

I had a listing with a Rolex Ladies, Mens Watch, Oyster Perpetual Date listed but really do not understand what is wrong with the listing. It is exactly the same way I used to do this on Ebay. Any way thanks for the help

I can think of a few things:

Are you sure that you clicked the preview button, went to next page and clicked the submit? Otherwise the listing may not have been submitted.

Did you put in two identical listings? They gets automatically erased by the robots and sometimes they are really fast. Has to be different title for each auction, no doubles allowed unless you add A & B, etc but the limit is then only two.

If you eliminate those two things, it might be a matter of someone thinking it was a fake? Might have to contact support and discuss how to handle that.

Remember that you can bring your feedback over, which might help you because you sell some really expensive items.

    Let us know what happens.

A fascinating snippet. Where did you get that from?

Massaging titles in an attempt to circumvent the no duplicate listings rule is not allowed. Using such a construct as Type A/Type B/etc. is OK as long as the items are unique but then there is no limit of two.

Astral's right, using different numbers, or letters to differentiate between identical items, will get your listings pulled if reported.

There is no 2 item amnesty.

The idea of using letters or numbers is only valid for items that are similar.

When I first started here, identical titles were allowed if the image was a different one.
Unfortunately (as always) somebody tried to get around the duplicate rule, but using identical images, uploaded separately for each listing.

Hence the removal of items with identical titles now.

    1877 Indian Head Cent

    and

    1900 Indian Head Cent

    are the same thing?

An 1877 Indian Head Cent & a 1900 Indian Head Cent, are similar items, not identical because they are from different years, so are allowed to be listed as individual items
But if you have 10 identical white eggcups, you cannot list them as
    white eggcup 1
    white eggcup 2
    or
    white eggcup A
    white eggcup B
as a way of getting around the duplicate item rule.

You need to do a dutch auction, ie white eggcup quantity 10

It's nice to not have the clutter of multiple listings for identical items from the same seller

The rub is that identical titles does not equal identical listings

It gets real fun trying to find titles that are pertainent and haven't already been used
